I'm little chainsaw short and stout

Iris

A wild Iris regenerates the earth's nutrients that are gone. She doesn't care if the nuturinets were lost or taken. Iris grows, her effort meant for one purpose, to be Iris, and restore balance to an unbalanced ground. Iris is resourceful. She nurtures the barren to a something new, ripe with potential, but that is all. She has no stake in the ground that she restores. She gives the future a present with her efforts today. And her presence now might never be recognized. Her results will never hear praise. She heals the land anyways. She grows without force, without expectation or reward. She does not worry or have any stake in what comes next. Iris does this for the earth in exchange for her life. Her efforts will be around after she dies. Her unselfish, unsolicited contribution will be felt far beyond her physical lifetime as the seeds and harvests of the future will benefit from her presence.
